Polyneikes was the father of Thersander {see planet  (9817)}, son of Oedipus and friend of Diomedes’ father Tydeus {see planets  (1437) and  (20952), respectively}. Polyneikes is a main character in The Seven against Thebes. He fought against his own brother. (M 42369) _ _.
