Záviš Bochníček (1920– ), a Czech astronomer living in Slovakia, worked on photographic observations of artifical satellites and computed their orbits. He discovered two novae and popularizes astronomy and cosmonautics. During 1956–1958 he was a director of the Astronomical Institute in Tatranská Lomnica. (M 41035) _ _.
