Hello, Uranus/Pluto Square…

12 Dec 2014, 03:39 pm

Beginning in 2012, Uranus and Pluto come into exact square alignment seven times. With five already occurring, the sixth is on the cosmic docket for December 14 (the seventh is slated to occur March 17). In reflection of the “as above, so below” axiom, this connection between these planets over the years has coincided with a from-the-roots transformation that we are experiencing on both a collective and personal level.

Yet, it’s not just around the times of the exact seven squares that we may palpably feel and notice the urge to unearth and let go of the structures, beliefs, and perspectives that are past their prime; the power of the Uranus/Pluto r/evolutionary energies seems to be channeled strongly when the other planets connect to them.

And, in December, we have this occurring twice: Venus conjuncts Pluto and squares Uranus on December 20 with Mercury doing the same on December 24.

We may more readily see the fires of creativity and the urge to dismantle the old to make space for something new out in the world. And whether we find this unsettling or exciting, I believe that the great potential we have during this time is to experience this r/evolution not just externally but within: to upend what in our own life we’ve held on to despite really knowing that it doesn’t serve the life we really want to live.

As such, with an eye towards these powerful energies, do an honest inventory of what in your life—things, relationships, habits, et al.—are past their prime and only serving to shackle your true and authentic self-expression. Begin working with these, exploring them, and releasing them, making space for the birth of the new within. Perhaps by doing so, some feelings of anxiety that could otherwise be caused by perceiving chaos out in the world may be quelled, since you will personally be experiencing what it means to shake things up and let go of that which is outworn.

Here are some Stellar Reflection Questions to consider at this time:
• What in my life has reached its expiration date?
• What arenas of my life are clamoring for a shake-up?
• If I were going to re-invent my life, what would it look like?
