Last week, the Full Moon eclipse got everyone very excited. Eclipses get reported in the news, so suddenly everyone is paying attention!

However there are usually only four or five eclipses a year. We have had the last one for 2015. But what about the other 20 or so New Moons and Full Moons that each year brings? They are very much worth paying attention to as well.

Getting in tune with the Moon, in my humble opinion, is one of the best ways to get life on an even keel. Each month, the Moon goes around the skies, passing through each sign of the zodiac and each House on your horoscope chart.

Even if you don’t know much about astrology, it’s quite easy to follow the passage of the Moon around your chart.

So when the Moon is in your First House, it’s time to think about your appearance, your image and how you’re coming across to the world. When the Moon is in your Second House, it’s time to invest some emotional energy into your self-love – and you could boost your finances in the process. When the Moon moves through your Third House, communications can be more heartfelt and so on.

How things go for you as the Moon moves through each sign can depend on what the Moon is doing at the time. For example, if She* moves through your Seventh House aka Your Love Zone and happens to clash with Saturn, it could be time to learn some lessons from your partner or ex. But if she moves through your Seventh House aka Your Love Zone and happens to harmonise with Jupiter, it’s a very different story and a potentially great time for you and your beloved, or a good time to go out and meet someone new, if you’re single.

To really make things simple, though, even if you have no knowledge at all about astrology really, it’s worth working with the New and Full Moon.

In a nutshell, the New Moon symbolises the start of a new cycle. If you know which House it’s falling in on your chart, so much the better. However even if you don’t, the New Moon is a wonderful time to start again in any part of your life where you feel you need a do-over. It’s a wonderful time to:

1. Commit to your dreams
2. Try again
3. Write a plan
4. Rekindle a friendship
5. Resolve to be healthier
And so on.

Meanwhile, the Full Moon marks the end of the lunar cycle. Note that the New and Full Moon always take place two weeks apart from each other. Use the Full Moon energies to release any negativity which has come into your life.

A few examples of this would be:

1. To ditch a bad habit
2. To release anger
3. To close the door on a relationship which isn’t working
4. To make peace with the past
5. To say you’re sorry

It easy to keep up with the New and Full Moon dates – they tend to be all over Facebook for one thing (at least in my Newsfeed!) or you can sign up here for my Monthly Newsletter, which always features the Moon times for the month ahead. PS the next New Moon is tomorrow!

PS If you’re in the UK and you would like to know more about the Moon, I’ll be doing a workshop on October 25. Book early because places are limited! Tickets are here (you also need an entrance ticket).
