Overview: The first two weeks of November bring us an opportunity to align our emotions and intuition with our desires versus self-doubt and fear. What are you composting in your life to help create the energy needed for new growth? When we let go, it’s not necessarily throwing something it out; consider that it can be more of a releasing of energy, whether it be a relationship, a pattern, a mental model, a job, etc., to its next evolution in a natural cycle. We don’t have to force ourselves to let go. Often just quieting our mind, whether it’s through exercise, meditation, or artistic pursuits, will naturally allow us to release some energy that we no longer need.
11/1-2…November starts out with an amplification of our desires and feelings about how we want to be useful and helpful to others. Often finding right livelihood involves a commitment to helping others in some form, whether it be solving a problem, improving efficiency, or creating a wholly new experience. And the astrology in the air supports us in committing/recommitting to aligning to this service, whatever form it takes for you, as this is usually where we find the greatest fulfillment and meaning. If you find yourself or others in an overly self-righteous or critical frame of mind, re center yourself in your version of how you add value to the lives of others.
11/3-4…For all my US readers, Happy Election Day! Don’t forget to vote. These two days offer a little bit of breathing space to get clear on our intentions and release what we no longer need as preparation for the new moon next week.
11/5-6…The week ends on a more hopeful, synergistic note as we see how our past efforts are woven into current opportunities. Pay attention to your intuition, especially concerning your resources.
11/7-8…The Libran energy has us craving companionship. Pay attention to how feel around different people. Don’t just go through the motions; seek out others who really make you feel seen and acknowledged.
11/9-11…New Moon in Scorpio…In Chinese medicine the emotion connected to the fall is grief. Unfortunately it’s an emotion that we struggle with mightily in our culture. However, feeling grief allows us to release and let go, as well as sense into that which gives life meaning and purpose. I wonder if our widespread desire for meaning and happiness might be connected to the lack of understanding and awareness around grief. Scorpio helps us to connect to our passions and feelings, and it can be hard to access them if we have a lot of built up emotional energy in our system. There is no need to figure this out or analyze yourself. Simple be a with a tree that’s losing its leaves and imagine what it would feel like to let go so gracefully, to trust in the turning of the seasons.
11/12-13…The new moon marked the ending of a cycle as well as the beginning of a new one. Get curious about what this next cycle has in store for you. Mars enters Libra, emphasizing partnerships and win-win solutions. See where you can reach out and create a mutually beneficial alignment with someone else. Don’t be afraid to put what you need help with out into into world.
11/14-15…Honor any urges you may be having for solitude. Check in with your internal authority. Often if we are having external struggles with authority/leadership figure, it’s a good idea to check in with this part of ourselves versus getting sucked into a dramatic story line with others. Are there some ways you can build a more trusting and loving relationship with your internal manager?
