Named in honor of Aleksandr Konstantinovich Kondakov (1928– ), researcher on agricultural chemistry and fertilizers for fruit plants, and head of the laboratory of agrochemistry at the Michurin All-Russian Research Institute of Gardening in Michurinsk.
