Bruce Slee (b. 1924) is one of the pioneers of radio astronomy. After independently discovering solar radio emission in the 1940s, he joined the Division of Radiophysics in Sydney, Australia, and over the next sixty years made important contributions to solar system, galactic and extragalactic radio astronomy.
