Erin Smith (b. 1999) was awarded best of category and first place in the 2017 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for her behavioral and social sciences project. She also received the Cultural and Scientific Visit to China Award. She attends the Shawnee Mission West High School, Overland Park, Kansas, U.S.A.
