Ferenc Reitter (1813-1874) was a Hungarian architect and engineer, and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences who is credited with constructing several landmarks in Budapest. He also worked on the mapping and study of the Tisza and Maros rivers, and took part in the channeling of the Danube river.
