Named for the devoted and faithful wife of Hector {see planet (624)}. Andromache warned Hector against engaging in battle during the Trojan War. After the war she became a concubine of Neoptolemus {see planet (2260)} and later married Helenus {see planet (1872)}. Aeneas {see planet (1172)} found her at Epirus on his way to Italy. (Z 22)
