Zheng Zhemin (b. 1924), an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Engineering and a foreign academician of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, is one of the founders of the field of explosion mechanics. A leader of the field of mechanics in China, he has proposed and created new branches of mechanics.
