The German artist Adrian Ludwig Richter (1803–1884) taught for many years at the academy in his home town, Dresden {see planet  (3053)}. He painted Italian and Saxonian-Bohemian landscapes in the late Romantic style and created woodcut illustrations for books. (M 39658) _ _.
