Yoshiko Kataoka (1927– ), an amateur astronomer in Takarazuka, Hyogo prefecture, is a director of the Oriental Astronomical Association. She was a pioneer in the study of meteoric dust. In 1993 she provided a fund to establish and keep the Vega Prize for distinguished women amateur astronomers. (M 42670) _ _.
