Named in honor of Vanda Georgievna Voytkevych (1949– ), a friend of the discoverer and specialist in analytical chemistry, particularly in its application to ecology and the metallurgy of welding. During 1971–1994 she was a researcher at the E. O. Paton Welding Institute. Now she lives in New Zealand with her family. (M 34628) _ _.
