Named in memory of Hubert Slouka (1903–1973), Czech astronomer, well known as a popularizer of astronomy and as the author of a great number of books, articles and lectures. Slouka was the long-time editor-in-chief of Říše hvězd, a Czech journal for amateur astronomers. His wonderful book Views into the Sky inspired an interest in astronomy in many Czech and Slovak astronomers. (M 22498) _ _.
