Julius Sperauskas (b. 1950), President of Lithuanian Astronomical Union (2003-2007), is Senior Researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of Vilnius University. He is an expert in stellar photometry, metal deficiency and binary stars, and has constructed Coravel-type radial velocity spectrometer and several astrophotometers.
