According to the wishes of the discoverer and of O. Heckmann {see planet  (1650)}, director of the Hamburg-Bergedorf Observatory, the planet is named “Autonoma”. This name has been chosen in honor of the “Universidad Autonoma de El Salvador”, in recognition of the hospitality granted by this university to the Hamburg Observatory. (M 698) _ _.
