Hungarian astronomer and geophysicist Radó Kövesligethy (1862-1924) conducted research in spectroscopy at Konkoly Observatory and later participated in establishing the Kiskartal Observatory. He took part in the experiments on the Eötvös pendulum from the beginning and later also researched earthquakes.
