Named in honor of Prof. Adolf F. Lindemann (1846–1931) of Sidmouth, England, who invented, together with his son F. A. Lindemann, the Lindemann Electrometer. Wolf visited Lindemann’s private observatory during a stay in England in 1896. See also the citation for planet (827). (H 82; A. Schnell)
