Named for an illegitimate son of Oileus, and half-brother of Ajax Oiliades (also known as Little Ajax). Medon lived in exile for having killed a relative of his stepmother. He fought bravely at Troy, but was killed before the Greek ships by Aeneas {see planet (1172)}. (M 18648)
