Named for the mother of Asclepius (or Aesculapius, see planet  (1027) by Apollo {see planet  (1862)}, according to some mythologists, although Coronis {see planet  (158)} is usually accepted as the mother of Asclepius. The name is also in use for a nurse of Orestes. Arsinoë put her own son in the bed of Orestes, where he was killed by Aegisthus, and Orestes was saved. (H 44) _ _.
