Masayoshi Utashima (b. 1951) was a researcher in the field of orbital mechanics in Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. He was a member of the board of directors in the first phase of the Japan Spaceguard Association. He made investigations to detect NEAs by both ground and space telescopes.
