Named in honor of Seizo Goto, well-known manufacturer of telescopes and planetaria, founder of Goto Optics. In 1981 he greatly aided astronomical education by presenting to his native prefecture of Kochi a 60-cm reflector, the largest made by Goto Optics. (M 6957)
