Despite refusal of credit for a new building at Freiburg University, Max “Maxou” Aebischer (1914-2009) succeeded in getting it built with the help of private funds---a risky undertaking in his position as director of the education department. Aebischer also reorganized primary and middle schools in Freiburg.
