Yoshinori Kobayashi (b. 1929), professor emeritus at Hiroshima University and professor at Tokushima Bunri University, is an expert in the study of the Japanese language. He received the Japan Academy Award and the Imperial Award for his pioneering studies of stylus-impressed documents.
