Aletta Jacobs (1854-1929) was the first Dutch woman to graduate from a university and the first Dutch female physician. She helped initiate The Hague Congress of 1915 that led to the formation of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. The name was suggested by L. E. Timmerman.
