Andrey Ivanovich Kapustin (archimandrite Antonin) (1817-1894) was the head of the Russian Ecclesiastic Mission in Jerusalem. He was a Byzantinist, an archaeologist, an astronomer, a poet and an artist, and was a honorary member of many academies and scientific societies.
