Andreas M. Burkert (b. 1959) is a full professor and chair in computational astrophysics at the University of Munich and, since 2011, president of the Astronomische Gesellschaft. Burkert is well known for his studies on the dynamical evolution of galaxies, star clusters and dark matter.
