Wolfgang Büttner (1905-1998) was a German educator and sidewalk astronomer in Dresden. From 1938 he worked at Leipzig Observatory helping with the preparations of the “Third Fundamental Catalogue (FK3)”. Later he was an educator at the Observatory in Radebeul.
