Yoshihiro Nakamura (b. 1947) retired from his planetarium manufacturing company in 2007 and is now well known as an amateur astronomer in Chiba Prefecture. He actively supports the organizing of local star parties for amateur astronomers, and is a member of the Oriental Astronomical Association.
