Sir Harry Walter Kroto (b. 1939), Fellow of the Royal Society, is an English chemist who shared the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Robert F. Curl and Richard E. Smalley for the the discovery of Buckminsterfullerene, and the related class of molecules, the fullerenes.
