Martin Buber (1878–1965), Austrian-born Jewish philosopher and author, was a teacher of religious science, ethics and social philosophy. From 1938 he taught in Jerusalem, where he stood up for the peaceful coexistence of Arabs and Jews. His Hebrew-German version of the Bible shows a unique diction and exegesis. (M 41573) _ _.
