Nicholas Kaiser (b. 1954), who studied at Leeds University and Cambridge University, was at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics from 1988 to 1997. Since then, he has been at the Institute for Astronomy in Hawaii. The name was suggested by P. Jedicke and R. Jedicke.
