Gustav Brom (Gustav Frkal, 1921-1995) was a popular Czech jazz musician, conductor, composer and singer. After a very difficult youth he established in Brno in 1941 a famous big band bearing his name. Under his direction it became the leading Czech jazz orchestra for more than fifty years.
