David B. Carte (b. 1991) worked as a student engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was responsible for the structural design and testing of the student-built Regolith X-ray Imaging Spectrometer aboard the OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission.
