Painter Francesco Guardi (1712–1793) was influenced by Pietro Longhi and Canaletto {see planet  (8123)}. Guardi’s style is more impressionistic, however, and he plays with the colors of light in the Venetian atmosphere more than Canelotto. His paintings are typical of the Rococo style. (M 34345) _ _.
