Named in memory of Nikolaj Zotovich Biryukov (1912–1966), famous Soviet writer. In a rescue attempt at the age of 18 he rushed into icy water, and as a result was bedridden for the rest of his life, an example of courage and fortitude. (M 7472) _ _.
