Named after the daughter of Alcinous, king of the Phaeacians. She befriended the shipwrecked Odysseus {see planet  (1143)} and persuaded her father to be kind to the visitor. Some accounts say Nausicaa later married Telemachus, Odysseus’ son. (Z 172) _ _.
