Shuyi James Chen (b. 1988) worked as a student engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was the lead avionics and software engineer in the development of the student-built Regolith X-ray Imaging Spectrometer aboard the OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission.
