Kalaallit Nunaat (Country of the Greenlanders) is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark. Located on the largest island in the world, it has been inhabited during many millennia by indigenous arctic peoples with strong and unique cultural traditions, later joined by people from the Nordic countries.
