Juza Unno (Sano Shoichi, 1897-1949) was a mystery writer and pioneer of Japanese science fiction. The Martian Army, published in 1940, aroused the curiosity of young Japanese about space. A monument dedicated to him stands in the park in Tokusima, his native city.
