Pisces Eclipse: Are You Lost?

27 Feb 2017, 06:02 am

Yesterday, my partner and I went for a typical Sunday dog walk in the hills. We like to park up somewhere different and find a walk that takes us down new paths.

We enjoy going off the main routes to find hidden trails. We rarely walk with a map but we’ve never yet not found our way back to the car.

On yesterday’s walk however we veered off track and ended up on a road in the woods that was apparently private.

We only found out this out when a Lady of the Manor type rolled up in her big car and stopped to ask us, ‘are you lost?’ I thought she was being helpful at first but quickly realised that what she meant by ‘are you lost?’ was ‘you’re on my land, why are you here?’

Bizarrely, she kept repeating the question ‘are you lost?’ to which I continually replied ‘no, we’re not lost’. Eventually to appease her, we asked which route to take in order to get back on to the public footpath. It was a surreal encounter and I was keen to draw up the astrological chart of the moment (see below).

In my head, there was an alternative dialogue taking place which went something like this:

You think I’m lost, but I’m not lost. I don’t know exactly where I came from or how I got here but I’m happy exploring and wandering. Taking the less-trodden path in the woods can be liberating as it leads you to places you’ve never been before. I don’t want to walk with a map in my hand or a clear idea in my head of how to get from A to B.

I don’t know where I go from here but I’m happy to try different paths and find out where they lead. I’m not in a rush, time isn’t restricting me and whether the walk turns out to be long or short, I’m willing to go with the flow and see where I arrive. I’m not lost and I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m enjoying this self-chosen diversion through the woods.

Now replace ‘the woods’ with ‘life’ and it still makes perfect sense. This is what the Pisces Solar Eclipse is evoking in my life, an opportunity to wander, unsure where I’m going or why but enjoying the experience nonetheless, in a state of joyful patience.

The Ascendant of the ‘Are you lost?’ chart is on the cusp of Gemini (mind) and Cancer (emotion), switching between the two. The Pisces line-up, including boundless Neptune and the solar eclipse duo, the Sun and Moon, sits in the 10th house, the future sector of the chart. Communication planet Mercury is close to the Midheaven and Mercury in Pisces is boundless, without limits/off limits. It’s a searching, seeking, questioning astrological chart.

“I’m not lost, even though I don’t know where I’m going.”
