Big Sea change November 6, 2018, as the North Node of the Moon changes signs and enters Cancer, the maternal, emotional, nurturing, food loving, sign of children, home, the sentimental sign of the Crab until May 5, 2020.

The North Node of the Moon moves backwards through the Zodiac every 18+ months. These Nodes are extremely important as they create Solar and Lunar elcipses four to five times a year every year. These Nodes are very ancient in Astrology, going back thousands of years. The North Node is called the Dragon’s Head and the South Node, the Dragon’s Tail. The North Nodes is the Cosmic GPS or North Star energy which symbolizes the collective’s highest spiritual goal. Everyone has their own personal North Node position in their birth chart.

The North Node symbolizes what we need to evolve into like a plant following the sun. The next 18 months under the watery emotional nurturing sign of the Mother indicates women being a guiding force. The Divine Feminine energy is returning. The protection of children and families, real estate {homeland} food safety and Water will be primary. The Sign of Cancer is the 4th sign and signifies the I.C. Latin for Imum Coeli meaning “bottom of the sky.”

If you have your North Node in Cancer or your South Node in Cancer at birth these next 18 months will be pulling you to make major choices about family, your ancestors, your own family, childhood, nurturing, home, and what makes you feel safe emotionally as your highest goal.

The 4th house/ Cancer influence means people will be increasingly working from home, mothers will prefer to stay at home, rather than work outside or at all. No more fast Foods. People will be opting for a more simple home cooked traditional ” comfort food” with memories from their childhoods. Traditional feminine values will be strong. Water and food purity will be important. Respecting your ancestors and roots will be honored.  A more traditional time of sharing feelings and nurturing each other. Homes will be simpler and warmer. 

The last times the North Node was in Cancer was 2000-2001, 1982-1983, 1962-1964, and 1944-45. This is a general rule you need to look up your specific North Node position. 

Water signs Scorpio and Pisces will get beneficial aspects from the transiting trines. Look at where the entire 30 degrees of Cancer is in your natal chart. Remember the North Node moves from 30 degrees down to zero from the last to the beginning of the sign.
