Mercury conjunct North Node
Mercury conjuncts the North Node at 11 degrees Gemini May 11/12th on the Taurus New Moon.
This is a sign to be aligned with freedom in the current thinking, conversations, communication, analysis and direction.
The North Node is the transiting True North a kind of spiritual or aspirational Compass point.

This symbol shows the need to demand respect and to be taken seriously. For Black Lives Matter speaking up and out more in the media, this symbol couldn’t be more apt.
Mercury is opposite the south Node which are always exactly opposite. The south kid literally the past. In Sagittarius this is history, teaching, education, philosophy, honesty, all of which need to be re-examined and balanced out.
With all respect to BLM we can extend the symbol to also mean anyone who is being enslaved by information, programmed by ideas, propaganda, education, used, abused, looked down on, disrespected, and who has no freedom or rights.
Gemini at its worst is a dualistic mind set. Us and them, polar opposites, the 1% and the rest of the world. Polarization is another trap in itself used by the Gemini, Mercury ruled media to divide and conquer, which is the basis of colonialism. We are right and you are wrong North Nodal superiority thinking. .
Understanding this separated out mindset helps us to understand how the politics of duality or dueling ideas works.
Gemini is also about seeing the shadow reflection, naming it and sending it back to the other person.
Anytime anyone hurts you with words, this is time to throw that reflection back at them. Look at where you are also culpable in any situation.
In the tarot Gemini is the sign of The Lovers #6. It’s opposite is #15 the Devil- fear, separation the opposite of love..
This can start a war of words and a battle of ideas. Don’t be afraid to speak up and speak out over and over again.
Gemini is the sign of youth, of open mindedness. Open your mind and ask questions from a naive point of view like an innocent child would. In the Emperors New Clothes it is the innocent child who states “ the Emperor is naked.” This helps us to see the loopholes in ideas that are taken for granted.
Be careful not to be too divisive, arguing for the sake of being devils advocate or blaming others and feeling justified.
