Boris Efimovich Zhilyaev (b. 1940) is chief of the high-speed photometry group at the main astronomical observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He has organized an international network of synchronized HSPh telescopes to detect microsecond stellar variations at a level down to 0.001 magnitude.
