Named in honor of Harold Weller (1941– ). Conductor of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra since 1981, Weller received his musical training at the Oberlin and Cincinnati Conservatories of Music, Miami University and Ohio State University. He has held positions as musical director of the Hamilton (Ohio) and Ashland (Ohio) Symphony Orchestras and has been a faculty member at Ashland College in Ohio and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
